Yew Hill-Style 53# @ 28″

A little while ago I saw a few pics of a bow crafted by Howard Hill in the late 30’s. This bow really amazed me.

Having these pictures in my mind I took piece of my premium yew and started crafting. I have not had enough details and info to make a full replica. Never mind – I just made it how I hope HH would have liked it. She came out 53# @ 28″

To protect the tender sapwood from drying out and mechanical damage she got a linnen backing, soaked and glued up with water resistant wood glue, and of course a little paint.
