The Composite Class
Laminated bows or composite bows are assembled from different woods. This allows the bowyer to take maximum advantage of the different mechanical properties of the different wood types. Using only flawless and seleceted wood offers the possibility to establish a clean, uniform and repeatable design and avoid excess mass. Furthermore the different layers of wood can be glued together under pretension (perry-reflex). All of this will lead to high performance bows that will outshoot most modern bows of similar design with ease.
For now I make and offer classic longbows and deflex/reflex-bows. More designs to follow.
As for the woods I use selected Yew, Maple, Hornbeam, Bamboo, White Ash, Osage, Serviceberry, Black Locust and various tropical hardwoods.
