I made this bow from Holly (lat. Ilex), a rarley used wood that historically was used for medieval warbows also. The wood wasn’t overly thick so I could either do a simple stick bow or something…how would you call that?….andaman hollow limbish. I went for the latter because I have always been fascinated by these andaman bows. She came out 36# at 26″ draw. Length is somewhere 63″ tip to tip and it bends minimal in the handle. For better performance the wood is heattreted also. Stain is ironchloride.
Shoots nicely of course.
